A lovely poem written by one of Anubis' Admirers:
Anubis
Anubis,
beautiful Anubis,
I see you fly so free
Your
playground
Is as high
and wide
As the eye
can see
With
beating wings you are
The master
of the sky
Prey in
terror seeks to find
Shelter
from your eye.
Circling
around your world
Upon the
air you go
You
experience the world through
sight and
feel
As only you
can know
Then is
happens,
There you
spot it
Your most
terrified prey
You fly
high and faster,
To attack
you victim
On this
beautiful day
The hunt
has begun
Hearts
start to race
The pace
starts to quicken.
The thrill
of the chase.
Circles
tighten
Sunlight
brightens
The wind
lightens
Prey
becomes frightened
The terror
heightens
You wings
slighten.
Then it
happens
What was
feared to happen
You swoop
down to make your kill
Death comes
quickly
To your
latest victim
For your daily
meal.
But it’s
the law of nature
And who can
say
Your victim
had a bad deal.
You take
off again
Upon the
winds
Of the sky
so vast
Freedom is
yours
And beauty
as well
May forever
it last
Anubis,
beautiful Anubis
I see you
fly so free
Your
playground
Is as high
and wide
As the eye
can see
With your
beating wings you are
The master
of the sky
And
nothing, oh but nothing
Can find
shelter from you eye.
